Aren’t these two adorable? I met Allyssa + Drew this past fall in Grant Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for their engagement session! We took advantage of the gorgeous golden light that enveloped these two, walking the area, grabbing some truly lovely moments of the two of them. After the casual shots in the park, we decided to head to the beach to capture some formal images. And boy were they gorgeous!

A Gorgeous Day. A Gorgeous Couple.

I love when my clients get dressed up for their engagement sessions!  The moment only happens once, so, why not dress to the nines?  After a quick wardrobe change we headed down to the beach.  Allyssa wore a gorgeous pink, flowing dress and Drew donned a dapper blue suit.  I always suggest long, flowy dresses to my clients because they look amazing on camera (as you can clearly see here!)  They bring extra dimension and movement that make the images and collections unique and dynamic. Dresses and skirts look especially great when juxtaposed with organic elements. Not to mention they are so flattering to the female shape!

Drew and Allyssa included pup, Arlo, in the sunsets segment of their session, which I loved! As a dog mom myself, I completely understand how important our fur-babies are!  Allyssa made the flower crowns that she and Arlo wore. Can you say DIY queen?  I cannot wait to see this couple again for their June 2018 wedding. If their first session is any indicator, I can only imagine how gorgeous their big day will be!
