Alison and Jamie have such a beautiful love story! They met in Spain while Alison was living there, (Jaime is originally from there), and after living for four years they decided to make the move to America for good. As Alison put it, they are a bit of a non-traditional couple, laid back, and have a love for nature. For their wedding day, they wanted a happy, fun day full of love with their family + friends free of all the typical restraints and structure of a wedding. They choose the beautiful Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee, WI for their celebration because of it’s location and complete inclusion of nature.

The wedding day shared between Alison and Jamie was simply beautiful from start to finish. They both got ready at Alison’s parents home, and you could feel the excitement fill the house. Jaime and the boys were upstairs and Alison and the girls were down stairs. They were married in a small open clearing at the Urban Ecology Center and had their reception inside the center. This turned out to be a wonderful little venue, surrounded by the most beautiful greenery and cute little benches for the guests. The simplicity of this wedding was refreshing, as no one was super stressed, all that was on their minds was the love that brought them together that day. In fact, everyone seemed super relaxed and there to have a wonderful time celebrating the couple.

During their ceremony they incorporated both backgrounds. Alison spoke her vows in Spanish, while Jaime spoke his in English. I loved that they did this, as it provided such an intimate and special experience for the both of them. The didn’t have much of a wedding party, just one on each side. They had traditional Spanish food for their meal and did the traditional flamenco dance. Jaime’s mom also surprised them with an adorable video from family/friends back in Spain! Alison and Jamie are so precious together, and I am so glad I was able to document such a beautiful day for them. They will have such an amazing future together!
