People used to be appalled when couples found each other on dating sites.. but not anymore! It has become the new normal for couples to meet through dating sites such as Tinder, Bumble and even Craigslist! I’d have to guess about half my couples have found their significant other through a dating site… Alexis + Troy’s love story is no different! There was instant chemistry when they found each other on Bumble.
They went on a date shortly after matching, and a week later Alexis invited Troy to Lake Geneva with her friends. He showed up with a case of Miller Lite and right away everyone fell in love with him! Alexis kept telling her friend Melanie, “what if I have a boyfriend soon,” and sure enough they began dating!
For the proposal, Alexis + Troy went to a forest preserve for their “friends wedding send off.” Alexis was surprised when none of their friends were actually there, and Troy proposed! She had no idea it was coming and was quite surprised!
To get to know my couples and their relationship a bit better, I like to ask them to describe what they love about each other. Troy loves that Alexis is honest, direct, loyal and an amazing friend. Alexis says Troy is goofy, fun-loving, loyal and caring. They both love to listen to music, go to breweries, hang out with friends, and go to concerts! My kind of people! 🙂
Alexis + Troy were married this past November at Black Swan Plan N’4 located in downtown Milwaukee! I cannot wait to share more of their wedding day in another blog post coming soon!
