I have said it many times before, but I truly love the way an engagement session allows me to get to know my couples better. It makes the wedding day photography feel a little less daunting for the couple! It also gives me the opportunity to see what makes them the most comfortable in front of the camera!
I had such a wonderful conversation with Melissa during her consultation! We truly hit it off and talked for such a long time! It honestly felt like we had been friends for years! She was kind, genuine, and had such a beautiful vision for their wedding day. It’s always fun to meet a groom after meeting the bride first because I can see all the things the bride had described her groom as. Jon was also incredibly kind, welcoming and just a joy to be around!
We decided to do their session at their future home, which turned out to be the perfect spot! It had so many different types of trees, tons of greenery, tall grass, and a field of rolling hills. They hope to buy a chunk of that farmland in the future so it was fun to document their engagement in that spot!
It was so fun getting to know these two together and it makes me all the more excited for their wedding day in just a few weeks! I can’t wait to celebrate with them as they have their fairytale winter wedding!
