This sweet girl.. Melly! While visiting France, I had the opportunity to get to know this sweet girl and photograph her bridal portraits at the gorgeous Domaine De Sarson in Provence, France!
Where I’m from (the Midwest), bridal sessions are pretty much unheard of! If you have no idea what I’m talking about.. a bridal session takes place 2-3 months prior to the actual wedding day and it’s a time for just portraits of the bride in her full wedding attire! Think gown, veil, jewelry, shoes.. etc! It’s the perfect time to see how everything comes together + gets some gorgeous portraits done prior to your wedding! It’s a great time saver on the wedding day as well 🙂
Bridal sessions are more common in the Southern states and it seems like every brides has one before her big day! The portraits taken at this session are typically displayed at the reception and given as gifts to the bride’s parents. It’s such a neat concept and one I hope to bring to the Midwest! I’m starting to offer these sessions so if you brides out there are interested in session like this.. let me know and we will get something scheduled!
Melly wore a beautiful lace lavender gown by Emily Riggs, which was the perfect nod to the region that grows lavender! I cannot think of a more perfect + fitting place to capture her bridal session than the South of France! Enjoy a few of my favorites from Melly’s session– it’s hands down one of my favorites!
