Brett and Becky were married at the beautiful venue On Twin Lakes located in Birchwood, WI. These two had such happy-go-lucky attitudes, which made their day super fun for everyone! There is nothing better than a relaxed, fun filled wedding. To our surprise, it rained on and off on their wedding day so they decided to move the ceremony into the barn. A few minutes before the ceremony was supposed to begin, it stopped raining…so they moved the ceremony back outdoors! They didn’t let the rain ruin the fun, and I love that about them!

The wedding was an intimate experience, as Becky and Brett wrote their own vows to each other and recited them under a beautiful pergola. Their words were beautiful, leaving many guests teary eyed. When asked about her vision for the wedding, Becky said, “Brett and I are adventurous outdoorsy souls so we kinda want our wedding to match our personalities. We chose On Twin Lakes in Birchwood, WI for an outdoor wedding. It is a beautiful countryside with trees, lakes, bonfires and a gorgeous shed for the reception.” It was so sweet that they wanted to make their wedding a personal experience for each other, and turned out to be everything they hoped for. As you can clearly see below, it was nothing short of a stunning day!

Being a wedding photographer, I get to meet so many amazing couples. When Becky told me the story of how her and Brett met, I was so surprised, but knew that it was totally meant to be! Surprisingly, they met on Craigslist after Becky put her apartment and furniture on the website. Brett purchased the couch she was selling, and they remained in contact after the purchase. Even after she moved, the couple stayed together through long distance. Later, they moved to Portland, OR together where they have the Craigslist ad framed. They said it is the best sales transaction ever made! I love their love story, and it will be such a good conversation piece for their future kids and grandkids!

Brett and Becky described their wedding as fun filled, colorful country wedding with brews, bonfires and whiffle ball! They had a beautiful day, and I am so honored that I was able to capture such an important day in their lives!
