In the world of wedding photography, there’s a secret ingredient that goes beyond the technicalities and logistics – the gift of friendship between a photographer and their couple.
When I reflect on my journey as a Wisconsin wedding photographer, I realize there was a crucial element missing in my early years of business. I loved capturing beautiful images, but I yearned for something deeper – a personal connection with my couples. I believe that at the core of every human being is a desire to be known, seen, loved, and befriended. And so, I made a conscious decision to prioritize forming genuine friendships with my clients.
The Gift Of Friendship
This decision was a game-changer. It transformed my business from being solely about paying the bills to becoming a fulfilling part of my purpose in life. Developing genuine friendships with my clients has been an incredible source of joy and fulfillment throughout my journey. Not only is my friendship with my couples a gift, but it positively impacts their wedding day as well.
Imagine waking up on the morning of your wedding knowing that your photographer isn’t just a random hired vendor, but a trusted friend who genuinely cares about you. That sense of comfort and trust is priceless and sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable wedding day.
Friendship breeds comfortability, and comfortability leads to trust – something that every bride needs in their relationship with their wedding photographer. With trust, couples relax, be themselves, and fully enjoy their wedding day, knowing their photographer has their best interests at heart.
Ever since I started forming friendships with my couples, our connection has grown beyond just photography sessions. Now, they send me texts to catch up, meet me for coffee or dinner, send me holiday cards, remember my birthday, refer me to others, and ask me to capture their growing families over and over again. I couldn’t ask for anything more!
So, to all my future couples. I want you to know that I’m not just excited about capturing beautiful moments on your wedding day. I’m equally excited about getting to know you, building a friendship, and ensuring that your experience with me memorable.
And to my current couples, I’m eager to embark on this journey together! I can’t wait to capture the love and joy that fills your special day. Here’s to building a friendship that lasts beyond the wedding! Cheers!
