Have you ever met a couple, and immediately thought to yourself… “these two were meant to find each other.” Well, meet Julia and Steve! A better match would be hard to find. Not only are these two meant to be, but it was meant to be that this couple have a beautiful snowy backdrop to their images. It was the perfect setting for their cozy romantic session. The best thing about winter in Wisconsin? The snuggles, hands down!

The session was supposed to have a fall backdrop, but being in Wisconsin and constantly having crazy weather, it ended up snowing the night before their scheduled session!  Mother Nature obviously knows what she’s doing, because I couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop for their session! The bright white of the snow in stark contrast to the pops of color we incorporated made my creative heart swoon!

We met at Julia’s parent’s home and took some stunning rustic photos in various spots around their property. We captured moments by the pond, barn, field,  backwoods and even caught a few moments with the pup, Beau.  The resulting images turned out beautifully.  These two looked adorable snuggling up close to stay warm and getting cozy by the fire.  For all the romantics out there, I’ll mention that this was an specifically meaningful image since this is how Steve proposed to Julia. Be still my heart!!

The duo went to high school together, but with Steve being a few years older they did not know each other super well.  They reconnected through a mutual friend a little over 3 years ago and the rest is, as they say, history.  Julia tells the story of their first date to a brewery/restaurant and a show at the comedy club as near perfection. Their lives ever since have been filled with plenty of laughter and endless love. They adore the outdoors and spending time with their fur baby, Beau.  They have taken a recent interest in home brewing and enjoy trying different craft beers.  What a fun couple!  I cannot wait to capture their June 2018 wedding! If their first session is any indicator, it’ll be gorgeous!
