I met the lovely Kelsey + Billy for their winter engagement session at Hoyt Park in downtown Milwaukee!

I have said it many times before, but I truly love the way an engagement session allows us to get to know our couples better. It makes the wedding day photography feel a little less daunting for the couple and helps us as the photographer know what it is that makes the client feel the most comfortable in front of the camera.

I had chatted with Kelsey prior to her engagement session so it great to finally meet her in person! She is kind, genuine and has such a beautiful vision for their wedding day. It is always so fun to meet a groom after meeting the bride first because I can see all the things the bride has described her groom as. Billy is also incredibly kind and easy going!

Hoyt Park was the perfect backdrop for their session! It had a beautiful white stoned bridge, a small creek, evergreen trees, many trails to explore and a fresh powder of snow! Despite the chilliness of the day, these two did so well!

It was so fun getting to know Kelsey + Billy together, and it makes me all the more excited for their wedding day. I can’t wait to celebrate with them as they have their fairytale wedding!
