When Grace and I first started planning her senior session, I could already tell it was going to be such a joy. Grace is a senior at Rice Lake High School, and she describes herself as bubbly—and let me tell you, that couldn’t be more accurate. Her energy, her laughter, and her heart for people just radiated throughout her session.

Grace loves playing piano and singing, and after high school, she has big dreams of traveling and pursuing both her bachelor’s and medical degrees. (How amazing is that?) On her bucket list? Skydiving, traveling Europe, and scuba diving. Basically, she’s ready to see the world—and I have no doubt she’ll do it all with a smile on her face!

For her senior portraits, we explored two of my all-time favorite spots: Levis Mound and Lake Wazee. I love pairing these locations together because they offer such a perfect blend of rustic woods and soft, beachy vibes. We started off among the tall trees and winding trails at Levis Mound, where the forest floor gave us the prettiest glowy light. Then we headed to Lake Wazee for golden hour on the beach and in the flower field—so dreamy!

Grace was such a natural in front of the camera. Whether she was barefoot in the sand or surrounded by wildflowers, she brought such a calm confidence and joyful presence to every shot. It was such a privilege to capture this season of life for her as she wraps up her time at Rice Lake High School and looks ahead to big adventures ahead.
