Katelyn and Kevin’s engagement session was one of those days that felt extra meaningful from the very beginning — the kind of story I love telling as a Milwaukee engagement photographer. Instead of starting with traditional portraits, we began somewhere incredibly special to them: Colectivo Coffee in Milwaukee, which happens to be both their first date spot and where Kevin proposed. 🥹

They grabbed coffee, sat by the fire, and revisited the exact place their engagement happened. It was relaxed, personal, and such a perfect way to start their Milwaukee engagement session. I always encourage couples to choose locations that reflect their story, and this stop felt completely true to who they are.

From there, we made our way to Villa Terrace, one of my favorite spots for engagement photos in the city. If you’re looking for classic European-inspired architecture, gardens, and lake views, this location is a dream. The stone pathways, terrace views, and romantic details made every moment feel timeless. Katelyn and Kevin were so natural together, and the setting added the perfect elegance to their Villa Terrace engagement photos.

To wrap things up — and warm up a little — we headed to the Milwaukee Public Library, another incredible location for engagement photos with stunning architecture. The grand staircases and historic details created such a romantic backdrop and gave their session a completely different feel from the outdoor portions earlier in the day. Before we left, we captured a few sweet images of them with one of their favorite books, which added such a personal touch to the session and made it even more meaningful.
