I’m so excited to introduce you to Shelby, a senior from SPASH High School! She’s a dedicated softball player, describes herself as kind-hearted, and can’t live without her dogs. When it comes to shopping, you’ll find her at American Eagle, Buckle, Altar’d State, or lululemon! Her style is typically casual and basic—think sweatshirts and leggings in the winter—but she also loves dressing up when the occasion calls for it! In the summer, her go-to outfit is jean shorts paired with a cute tank top.

Shelby’s bucket list is all about adventure and wanderlust! She dreams of visiting the Eiffel Tower, jetting off to Hawaii, and trying bungee jumping (talk about brave!). After high school, Shelby plans to head off to college, possibly majoring in marketing, though she’s still exploring all her options. With her positive attitude and willingness to try new things, I’m certain she’ll find the perfect path!

For her senior session, we decided on Lake Wazee! I personally think August is the best time to shoot here because the weather is gorgeous, the greenery is at its peak, and the wildflowers are simply stunning! We kicked things off at the beach, where Shelby even waded into the water for some fun, splashy shots! Then, we chased the sunset in a nearby field of wildflowers, which was just bursting with color. The golden light at that time of day made everything feel extra magical!

Shelby was such a blast to photograph! She brought so much energy, and she was up for all of my creative ideas. I love capturing seniors who aren’t afraid to mix it up and try something new! Good luck with your future endeavors, Shelby—I can’t wait to see where life takes you!
