From their stunning ceremony at Queen of All Saints Basilica to their chic reception at Union League Club, every moment was filled with classic charm, sophisticated details, and a touch of preppy, light blue perfection. Having done their engagement portraits in downtown Chicago, I already knew their wedding day would be something truly special. And wow, did it deliver!
From the very start, Meghan & Mike envisioned a day that felt both classic and celebratory, mixing a formal, black-tie aesthetic with the warmth of their closest family and friends. The Queen of All Saints Basilica was the perfect backdrop for their vows—a breathtaking church with grand architecture that made the entire ceremony feel straight out of a movie. One of my absolute favorite moments? As the newlyweds exited the church, they were led out by a bagpiper, a nod to tradition that made for such a joyful and celebratory moment. You could feel the excitement from everyone there!
After the ceremony, we made our way to some of the most iconic Chicago spots for portraits. With Meghan in her elegant gown and Mike looking sharp in his tux, every backdrop—from classic city architecture to picturesque streets—felt straight out of a timeless wedding editorial. The light blue details in their wedding attire and decor gave a subtle nod to that preppy, sophisticated vibe they love. The energy, the love, the way Meghan & Mike looked at each other—it all made for some of the most dreamy portraits!
A Classic Wedding At Union League Club | Chicago, IL
Once we arrived at Union League Club, the celebration really kicked off! If you’ve never been, this venue is the definition of timeless elegance, with its rich wood details, chandeliers, and an overall formal chic aesthetic. The perfect spot for Meghan & Mike’s reception! One of the most epic moments of the night was a full group of bagpipers kicking off the dancing at the reception! It was such a high-energy, unforgettable way to get the party started, and the crowd loved it.
With heartfelt toasts, a packed dance floor, and so many beautiful moments in between, Meghan & Mike’s wedding was nothing short of magical. From start to finish, this wedding was filled with love, laughter, and so many moments that felt effortlessly them. Classic Chicago elegance met lively celebration in the most perfect way! I couldn’t be happier for these two as they start their forever together! 💙
