I had been looking forward to this day for such a long time and I am sure that it is one that I will never forget! Emily + Travis were married at The Barn on Southridge, which is a stunning venue at the top of a bluff just outside La Crosse, Wisconsin. This beautiful property had rolling hills + an apple orchard!
There were so many times throughout the day that I got to step back and just quietly remind myself how truly amazed I am that this is the job that I get to do, that I get to be apart of incredible days like this, and that I get to experience and photograph some of the sweetest moments in life. What a gift!
Here are some of my favorite things from the day:
- Emily + Travis had the biggest smiles when they did their first look.
- Their sweet pup was included in the wedding party (and walked down the aisle!).
- The way Travis’s Mom gripped him so tightly as they walked down the aisle together (there were a few tears, too)!
- The apple orchard stood as their ceremony backdrop and it was a beautiful view!
- How they had their best man also marry them (he did such a great job!).
- The tractor + wagon ride around the property and to the various photo locations. The wedding party got tons of honks and waves!
- The hilarious speeches given by their friends during the reception.
- All the guests singing “Happy Birthday” to Travis since it was also his birthday!!
- The surprise first dance Emily + Travis did was so much fun and really got the party going!
Congratulations you two on the most beautiful day! Thank you for choosing me to be a part of it!
