Carol and David were married in an intimate wedding ceremony on her family’s farm in Black River Falls, WI. Her uncle currently owns the property and helped to restore the barn where their wedding was to take place. Carol’s family worked hard to prepare for the big day, needless to say, there was a lot of love put into every detail. The barn was bright and beautiful, and the land looked gorgeous in the golden light. It was the perfect backdrop for the perfect day. The atmosphere cultivated was so much more than the beautiful setting though- it just felt like “home”.

Everyone was so relaxed and content. I don’t know if there was a single moment the bride and groom weren’t smiling or heartily laughing. I adore capturing images of them stealing glances at each other throughout the evening. Such love filled the air!

Their wedding colors were navy and gray, and babies breath flowers adorned all the farmhouse style tables. They served a BBQ meal for dinner, and had various yard games and tables full of candy for guests to enjoy. It was an evening full of effortless fun, yet elegant and special in so many ways.

We were able to do a “Day After Session” on the property the next day, which I will share more about soon! Carol and David shared laughs during their vows. They shared laughs during the toasts…and they shared countless laughs on the dance floor. This couple’s happiness is contagious and I know they have a lifetime of laughter and smiles ahead! The atmosphere at their wedding was full of love, and shared by the people they cherished and who love them most. There’s nothing quite like being with those you treasure most. Just like there’s nothing that quite compares to home. Don’t you think?
