Miranda + Spencer matched on a dating app while Spencer was exploring Madison prior to moving to the area. Miranda offered him various tips on where to live, areas to explore and they continued to text casually for a few months. Spencer would drop hints about how they should get together, but Miranda was oblivious to his pursuit. Her friends encouraged her to meet him and after putting it off, she finally agreed to a “celebratory drink” with Spencer after she passed her nursing boards. They planned to meet for one drink and ended up chatting for hours!

After spending 4 years together, Spencer had planned to propose on a trip to Ireland in October 2020. Due to the pandemic, they decided to cancel their trip and opted for a road-trip to New England instead. They spent the day together exploring Acadian National Park, watching the sunrise, hiking, and taking in the ocean views. Later that evening, they went out for a lobster dinner and took a walk along the docks after. During the walk, Spencer got down on one knee and proposed! They celebrated by going out to get ice cream!

The couple wanted their wedding day at The Bog Country Club to be relaxed, romantic, with a whimsical touch. Their details were filled with stunning mauve, white and purple flowers by All That Booms, touches greenery, and a touch of dusty rose and sage elements. With hints of lace flowers, Miranda looked like a  “garden fairy princess” in her ivory wedding dress from Amelishan Bridal. Spencer wore a dapper blue suit from Express with a sage green floral tie that perfectly complemented his bride.

Prior to their ceremony, Miranda + Spencer shared a first look and read their own handwritten private vows to one another! They had their closest friends stand by their side, and were married in an outside ceremony officiated by the groom’s Aunt under a handbuilt arch. The couple completed a celtic handfasting ceremony to “tie the knot” and symbolize the joining together of their faith, families, and each other.

Later in the evening, the couple danced the night away under the twinkling lights of the outside patio and the clear night sky. Their wedding day was truly what they had hoped for: beautiful weather, clear skies, relaxed, and surrounded by their closest family and friends.

Thank you, Miranda + Spencer for including me in your day!! Wishing you all the best!
